The SA SKILLS Executive Committee (ExeCom) met on 28 April 2026 in Kotor, Montenegro, hosted by the Institute of Marine Biology, University of Montenegro (LP1 IMBK). Representatives of all project partners participated, with PP2 APU and PP3 MOL joining online.

Dr Mirko Đurović welcomed participants on behalf of the Lead Partner, while Mr Antonio Agrosì addressed the meeting on behalf of the Joint Secretariat of the Interreg IPA South Adriatic Programme.

The meeting focused on the implementation of R6 and R7 activities, including the Cross-Border Permanent Table, voucher scheme, policy uptake, outreach, EUSAIR coordination, learning modules, higher education summer schools, the Adriatic Blue Growth Cluster, and industry-oriented tools.

A key point was the preparation of forthcoming flagship events, including the CBPT Meeting on 29 April 2026, the AdriBioPro2026 High-Level Panel, and the BETC Presentation & Demonstration in September 2026.

The ExeCom also reviewed the status of the Major Project Modification request, formally submitted on 2 April 2026. The request includes a 12-month project extension, transformation of the innovative learning module into a First-Level Master programme (EQF Level 7), related work plan adjustments, and budget optimisation among partners. The Joint Secretariat confirmed receipt and support, while the final decision is expected from the Interreg South Adriatic Monitoring Committee on 12 May 2026.

The meeting confirmed strong partner commitment to the next implementation phase, with particular emphasis on practical delivery, outreach, digital platform use, and stronger cross-border cooperation in the South Adriatic blue economy.
